After their big 1-0 win against Lincoln in midweek, Wrexham now sit just four points off League One leaders Wycombe. A huge part of the Red Dragons' success this season has been defender Barnett, who has been an integral part of Phil Parkinson's offensive output this season. The 25-year-old has been feeling the love in recent days, with team-mate Dobson heaping praise on his compatriot.

Speaking in a recent interview, Dobson said: "I don't want to blow his trumpet too much, but he's probably the best crosser of a ball that I've played with. We just know if we can get him in good positions, he's going to create chances, and long may that continue. I'm not surprised [Dobson was offered a new deal], he's probably been the standout wing-back in the league this season. When we get the ball out wide, he puts in such fantastic crosses so it's a massive coup for the club to be able to keep him for a long time. I think it shows a statement of intent from the club to be able to keep your big assets."
THE BIGGER PICTURE
Wrexham have impressed with their ability to adapt with each promotion, but it is not just Barnett who has stood out this term. With promotion on the cards, every player has had to step up to deliver some big performances. The club have had 10 different scorers in 2024-25, with Jack Marriott the leading finisher with five.
