Leyton Orient have been struggling with a number of injuries throughout their squad this season and the injuries haven't seemed to slow down their charge to achieve playoff spots in the League Two standings. However, when the O's suffered a 2-1 loss to Stockport County, boss Wellens refused to blame the injuries for the defeat and mocked Postecoglou by saying he is 'not Postecoglou who will keep using it as an excuse.'

Wellens later apologized for his 'stupid comment' last week and insisted that the two London clubs have a strong relationship with Tottenham's Josh Keeley and Jamie Donley on loan at Leyton Orient. However, the Os boss has revealed that he has not been able to get in touch with Postecoglou after the comments he made.

Speaking to talkSPORT, Wellens said: I haven’t. I’ve tried to. But they had an important game. It was Saturday night, I tried to call someone at Spurs, but they had an important game [against Brentford] on Sunday.
"They won, which I was pleased about. I’ve obviously apologised and I think that’s the matter closed now. He’s got a job to do which is a lot more important. I made a mistake, I’ve apologised for it. Tottenham’s a brilliant football club and I hope they keep him.
"Jamie and Josh have been absolutely fantastic for this football club and we hope we can keep this relationship going. I want Tottenham to do well. They’re on our doorstep and we want to keep that relationship. I made a mistake and we move on."
WHAT NEXT FOR WELLENS?
Leyton Orient are set to take on Tottenham Hotspur's Premier League rivals Manchester City in the fourth round of the FA Cup up next on Saturday, February 8. And Wellens could potentially eliminate the Citizens early on.
