The club had planned the meal in order to celebrate victory in the competition and had been expected to scrap it after losing. But it has been reported by The Mirror that the meet-up will still go ahead.

United had decided they would not put on a victory parade in the event of lifting the trophy after suffering their worst ever Premier League campaign. A barbecue for players and their families is still considered appropriate despite their dreadful season being exacerbated by losing to Spurs.
